Beginner 6 Week Wheel Class - Sunday's 12:15-3:15pm - February/March

This beginner wheel throwing class will be ideal for students who are both completely new to the wheel, as well as students who are looking to hone their wheel throwing to make successful functional forms. Over the course of 6 weeks, we will focus on clay preparation, centering clay on the wheel, and understanding the mechanics and design of creating successful forms. Ultimately, we will work towards creating a matching set of functional vessels. Replicating vessels of the same size and shape will be a doorway to creating intentional objects, giving students the tools to move forward on their clay journey with confidence. This class will also focus on glazing pots successfully, as well as more advanced techniques for decoration, such as layering glazes. 6 week classes include 5 hours of studio hours to use during your 6 week session. Clay is not included in your class price and will be purchased Mud Studio on the first day of class. A welcome email will be sent a few days prior to class starting. We provide all tools & there is nothing needed to prepare ahead of time. Can't make a class? We offer a make up option for 1 class, by using 3 additional studio hours! ***Must be 18 and older***
